What a world we would have
if we all carried forgiveness
to each other
and to ourselves.

What a freedom from guilt and blame,
from trolling,
from oughts and shoulds,
from disappointment and revenge.

I have heard
that God doesn’t forgive.

He doesn’t need to.
His understanding and love
encompass all that we are.
